The Alpha Headband™ and Alpha Softband Systems™ offer convenience, comfort and ease of use with no sacrifice to performance. The Alpha Non-Implanted Bone Conduction Hearing Device is ideal for those with conductive or mixed loss with bone conduction thresholds better than 45 dB or for single sided deafness when the better ear has thresholds better than 20 dB. For patients younger than 5, or for those wanting a non-implanted bone conduction hearing device, the Alpha 2™ sound processor can be easily attached to a colorful softband or a metal headband.
The Alpha 2 headband system performance is a very good indication on how the implanted device will perform. If patients like the headband system performance, they will certainly like the implant performance. This is why we recommend testing of all patients with headbands first, in particular those patients at the limits of the indication range. This also applies to the Alpha softband system. • A metal headband or colorful softband with magnetic block
• The externally worn Alpha 2 sound processor
The Alpha Headband System
The Alpha Headband System is a comfortable metal headband that securely holds the Alpha 2 sound processor through a magnet system.
The Alpha Softband System
Great for kids and teens is the Alpha Softband System, which is available in a monaural or binaural design. The softband is more durable and is available in four color choices: Black, White, Pale Pink and Light Brown.

The Alpha Headband or Softband Systems are designed for the Alpha 2 Sound Processor. This processor features:
Magnetically coupled bone conduction hearing device. The Alpha 2 has no external abutment for improved comfort and no daily maintenance of a wound site.
The Alpha 2 is available in four colors to match basic hair colors: Champagne, Anthracite, Silver and Brown.
Dual-Microphone Technology. Improves hearing in environments where background noise is an issue. Automatically detects and reduces amplification of unwanted noise from behind while preserving frontal amplification of people or sound for clearer conversations and communication.
Integral DAI connection for link to FM systems, personal music players, cellphones and other similar systems.
Tamper-proof locking battery door.
